At Signature Concierge, we believe in bringing the right people together.

On Friday 16th May, we teamed up with Front Row Legal to host something a little different: a morning of straight-talking stories, insight, and connection, all in support of a brilliant cause.

The event took place at Leeds’ Odeon Luxe cinema and drew a crowd of over 60 business leaders, founders, coaches, and professionals from across the region.

But this wasn’t your usual networking breakfast.

It was honest. It was impactful. And it had heart.

Behind the Spotlight: Lessons in Resilience

Our two guest speakers - Ricky Hatton and Richard Hunwicks, brought very different experiences to the table, but both shared one powerful theme: resilience.

Ricky Hatton, former world champion boxer, spoke candidly about life in the ring and what followed after retirement. His reflections on mental health, identity, and rebuilding after the high of a sporting career landed deeply with the room. There was nothing scripted about it, just honesty, humour, and lived experience.

Richard Hunwicks, a respected rugby and performance coach, offered a perspective from the other side - the strategic, high-performance lens. From training elite athletes to helping teams operate under pressure, his insight into coaching, leadership and the psychology of performance gave the audience plenty to take away, whether they were in sport, business or anywhere in between.

Supporting the MND Association: In Honour of Rob Burrow

While the stories shared on stage were powerful, the purpose behind the morning was just as meaningful.

This event was held in support of the MND Association, a charity that exists to improve care and support for people living with motor neurone disease, fund research, and campaign for change.

The inspiration behind the cause?

Rugby league legend Rob Burrow, whose courage and advocacy in the face of his own MND diagnosis has captured the hearts of so many.

There were guests from a huge range of industries: legal, finance, sport, health, tech, education, but a shared interest in leadership, performance, and purpose.

What stood out most wasn’t just the calibre of the speakers.

It was the sense of community. Guests didn’t just come to listen, they came to engage.

The feedback we received afterwards said it all, people didn’t want to leave. And more importantly, they wanted to know what’s next.
